ABSTRACT: Two hundred retired male persons of 60–75 years age group from Burdwan and Hooghly districts were interviewed with the help of a structured proforma to record their thoughts, activities and experience in respect to their own families and society. The questions were selected to gather some general informations and their experience about some specific social and behavioural issues. The responses were analysed, categorized and discussed in reference to the available literature and also present changing social context.
